What I Use
A living list of the hardware, software, and small tools I use regularly.
I currently use two laptops: a 16β MacBook Pro M3 Max as my main machine and a 13β MacBook Air M4 for travel and lighter work away from the desk. A Mini-PC running Linux handles small 24/7 scripts and stores photos and files.
Most of the time I work while traveling, so the default setup is intentionally small: laptop, keyboard, mouse, and laptop stand. When I stay at home for a while, I add a monitor, microphone, and ergonomic peripherals.

Hardware
- MacBook Pro 16β, M3 Max, 36GB, 2024 - my main machine.
- MacBook Air 13β, M4, 2024 - for travel and lighter work away from the desk.
- MacBook Pro 16β, i9, 64GB, 2019 - a backup laptop in case something happens to the main one.
- Anker 737 Charger (GaNPrime 120W) - instead of the standard charger because it is lighter and more convenient for travel.
- Mini-PC Beelink EQ12 N100 - a small home server and backup Linux work computer.
- 2x Samsung SSD 870 EVO 4TB - one inside the Beelink, the other for backups.
- Router with OpenWrt Beryl AX (GL-MT3000) - for a stable home and travel network.
- Roost V3 - a laptop stand that helps relieve neck and back strain.
- Keychron K3 Pro (Red) - wireless keyboard.
- Logitech MX Anywhere 3S - wireless mouse.
- Sony WH-1000XM5 - excellent wireless headphones.
- AirPods Pro, 2nd gen. - headphones for the gym and city, light and convenient.
- iPhone 11 - main phone.
- Galaxy A03 - backup Android phone.
When I am at home, I prefer to use:
- Shure MV7X - microphone for recording audio, used alone or with a boom arm.
- LG 34WK95U-W - wide 21:9 monitor instead of the laptop display.
- Logitech MX Master 3s - ergonomic mouse, I like it.
- Logitech Ergo K860 - ergonomic keyboard, I like its angle.
Editor and Terminal
JetBrains Mono- main font for code;- Ghostty - my current terminal;
- Visual Studio Code - main editor for most tasks;
- Zed - for quick file opening;
- Neovim - for quick file editing in the terminal and sometimes for fun.
- GoLand - for refactoring Go code;
- DataGrip - for working with databases;
Software
For detailed software setup, see my macOS Setup 2025 post where I cover all the tools and applications I use.
Workspace
I like simple IKEA tables and chairs. When I move, I can order the same pieces again and be done.
- IKEA MATCHSPEL - chair.
- IKEA NORDMYRA - large table, rated 5/5.
- IKEA LISABO - table that fits perfectly in small spaces.
- My previous chair, Expert Sail ART, was better than the IKEA options.
Favorite stationery
- Pilot BPRK-10M 0.7 - ballpoint pen.
- Muji Pen Gel Ink 0.5mm - gel pen.
- Moleskine Classic Notebook - notebook that I like the most.
